HIGH LEVEL WORK

How many descendants was Abraham promised?
Let's just say that the only appropriate "stars" I could find to help the children recall this quotation, required that I sort through six (for all my fourth graders) boxes of Meijer "Starfish and Friends" crackers.  We DEFINITELY have enough "friends" to give the first graders when they study the apostles (fishers of men).

The photo is great, but here's an idea: a friend of mine had these really cute and cool looking bracelets, made out of fishing carabines (or whatever they are called). They looked like this: http://www.musclecars.net/parts/parts-images-large/james-avery-fishers-of-men-bracelet-sterling-silver_330505139816.jpg except they were made from the real thing and decorated with beads. I thought that was cool.

Hevel, those ARE cool! That would be an especially great project for older kids!

Tina - I've taken the photos, just no time to put them in!

In addition to the above, to the question in the caption:

And when the kids are finished with the crackers, the crumbles willbe great for this promise:

And I will make you seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall your seed also be numbered. - Gen. 13:16
